Sabine Gottschalk

Person

“And” is a crucial word in my consultation work. It is not about “either – or”, but about “and” and thus about the third, the other side, the wider perspectives. This opens the space for perception of the overlooked and the unspoken, for reflection and self-reflection, for communication and liveliness. And: this opening widens the view for diversity as well as for connections. The understanding of one’s own and the common practice is deepened and is the basis for your clarification work. This is how solutions arise, at times surprising ones.

My concept includes systemic and group analytical thinking. The multi-layered interplay of person, working relationships, organisation and context flows into my consultation. I advise with precision and appreciative confrontation – and with lightness, approachability, and a pinch of humour.

My foundation

I grew up in the German-Dutch border region. The experience that differences enrich and at the same time irritate is an early one – and it stimulates my perception and curiosity.

After studying social pedagogy, I worked for twelve years in various management positions in education and project work. This was followed by work stays in Ghana, Zambia, and Kenya. There, as a specialist in the Civil Peace Service, I was responsible for training, organizational development, and trauma work for three years.

In 2006 I completed a master´s degree in Supervision and subsequently trained in group analysis and organisational mediation.

I have been working as a freelance supervisor, teaching supervisor, coach, and mediator for 18 years. I am a lecturer for supervision at the Catholic University of Applied Science in North Rhine-Westphalia and a selected member of various nationwide pools for supervision and coaching.

I am an active member of the professional associations DGSv, D3G and GASi. On the European level I am involved as a member of the ANSE International Intervision Group Art and Music.

I work in Münsterland, throughout Germany and in an international context, in presence and online. My working languages are German and English.
